I don't really care if she's religious or not, unless she brings it up all the time or tries to convert me. I would not fear as much as she does, but that is her reality. Racial differences can be very trivialвthey really didn't come up much for my parents, for exampleвand are basically false differences.

Ask questions, try to find out as much as you can. My family supported me in this. I grew up believing that when, where, and by what authority I was married were equally important to whom I married. Her experience may or may not be typical, but it is something to consider. I completely agree with you. Please realize I know how the church works, was extremely active and raised good kids. Be a good influence. Maybe we'll break up in a month.
Don't get her hopes up too much - in return ask her to do something to research your views. I have no kids with him I had one from a marriage before and I'm glad I have no kids with him now. Somewhere down the road, you will find another girl who will be a much better match for you. He want to wait at least one year before he makes any decision he want to take it slow.
Word to the wise, wait a day or two. Will you be open to me teaching my children my athiest point of view.
